The Knockdhu distillery is at the heart of every anCnoc expression, not least Blas. A design inspired by the distillery’s surroundings and traditional production methods, Patrick spent time with the Men of Knock to fully understand and appreciate what brings anCnoc to life. This, or course, meant having a hand in ensuring the liquid was a perfect match to the design!

Putting his name to the liquid! Once he had chosen the right cask, Patrick made sure it wasn’t going to go anywhere!

Inspiration was taken from every corner of Knockdhu which gave Patrick lots to work with back in his studio. The flowers that grow in the water source, the chalk board (not a computer!) and general images capturing the aura of Knockdhu were the focus of his mood board.

Shaping up nicely! Brand cues have been portrayed in the illustrative style so typical of anCnoc. From the boots of the Men of Knock to the nod to our traditional wooden washbacks, the design is starting to look every bit A Modern Tradition.

Our talented design team then worked with Patrick’s colourful creation to bring it to life on pack. The brand cues were teased in to place to produce a finished product that fits perfectly within the anCnoc family.

Proudly sporting the new pocket square alongside the limited edition pack, this is the meeting of two Scottish greats. Born in Scotland, wedded to his craft and appreciating a fine whisky as much as the cut of a great suit, Patrick was the obvious choice for this collaboration.
